A flat, fast, splashy & patriotic 5K on Independence Day!
Join us for this new 5K run/walk celebrating our country's independence! In addition to a fast, flat course, there will be splash stations along the route to keep you from getting too hot! So come prepared to get wet if you want to. There will be fun family festivities after the race, and later in the day you can head out to the Havelock Freedom Fest and stay for the evening fireworks.
The Havelock Freedom Fest Splash 5K benefits the Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation (ECAHF.)
The primary mission of ECAHF is to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) education in area youth by hosting a variety of educational events and performing community outreach in area schools and organizations. In addition, ECAHF is also responsible for the aviation exhibits and upkeep at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center which is free and open to the public for tours. ECHAF strives to :
